The Registry Key for Earlier Version property is only used when you've changed the Application Name or Company Name properties from an earlier version; for example, changing Application Name from "My Report Writer" in one release to "Your Report Writer" in another release. Since certain user-specific Stonefield Query settings are stored in the Windows Registry under a key containing the company and application names, this would cause those settings to be lost. You can specify a value for the Registry Key for Earlier Version property to automatically move the settings from their former location in the Registry to the new one. The value of this property should be "Software\ former Company Name value\ former Application Name value".
This setting is only available in the Ultimate version of Studio.
