If you decide to segregate your tables using data groups, you may wish to use a different phrase than "data group." For example, in an accounting system, "module" might be a more meaningful term to use. In that case, change the Description for Data Groups setting to the phrase you wish to use. Capitalize the first letter of the phrase (for example, "Module") so it appears properly in Step 1 of the report wizards. This setting is not only used in Stonefield Query, but also Stonefield Query Studio, in the following places:

  • The Create Data Group function in the Objects and shortcut menus and the drop-down menu for the Create button

  • The Data Groups panel

  • The Default Data Group for New Reports configuration setting
